This project was made from an anonymous quote submitted as part of the On Being project.

“Life is meaning less. Nothing matters. Peace exists here. And yet the world is never ending. I cannot catch my breathe. Stress comes from the deadlines that we place on ourselves.”

I was interested in the island of peace in there amongst the chaos of life seeming to be in the quote. So I turned to my personal island of musical peace, the resonant chords of the Prophet 6, carrying a slow tempo techno track in there amongst all my favourite clicky detailings and micro-jams. It’s a rendering of my safe space to get lost in and have some time away from the real world. Which is where the quote took me.

Visual artist, Xavier Chassaing, took the same approach with natural form as our place of peace in amongst the chaos.
